Schoolhouse Senior Center

Round-trip shared-ride transportation is available through the County by Community Transit. The shared-ride program is 50 cents per trip or $1.00 for a round-trip. Contact the Center to arrange for Community Transit. Community Transit will transport individuals age 65 or older who live in Glenolden, Morton, Norwood, Prospect Park, Ridley Park, Ridley Township, Rutledge, Swarthmore. Please contact SEPTA for a bus schedule if you would like to take public transportation.

Nutritious meals are served at lunchtime Monday through Friday. See our menu, updated monthly. A $2.50 per person donation is suggested for individuals over age 60, $3.50 for persons under age 60.

Membership is open to all people, age 50 and older. To become a member, visit the Senior Center or click here to complete the Membership process. The annual fee is$40.00 per year for regular membership and $70.00 per year for a trustee-level membership. The fee supports the on-going center operations, is voluntary and activities are open to members and non-members alike. Members may receive reduced rates for fee-based programs and trips as they are added to the activity calendar or Center for Life Long Learning.
